2 cups (500 ml) of dried and pitted dates
1 cup (250 ml) of water
1/2 cup (125 ml) of chopped camelina chocolate Signé caméline (or chocolate chips)
1 cup (250 ml) of quick cooking oats (oatmeal)
1 cup (250 ml) of puffed rice
1/2 cup (125 ml) of plain camelina seeds Signé caméline
1 teaspoon (5 ml) of pure vanilla extract
Préparation
- In a medium saucepan, combine dates and water.
- Cook 10 minutes over medium heat or until all water is removed from the pot.
- Remove from fire.
- Mash the dates with a fork to puree.
- Add the chocolate to the dates and mix to melt.
- In the same pot, add the oats, puffed rice and vanilla. Mix well.
- Distribute the mixture evenly in a 20 cm (8 inch) square dish. Press the mixture firmly into the pan with a fork.
- Refrigerate 1 hour. Cut to obtain 10 bars.
