Easy Moist Waffles with Camelina Seeds

2 cups (500 ml) of all-purpose flour

3 tbsp. (45 ml) of sugar

4 tsp. (20 ml)  of baking powder

1 tsp. (5 ml) of salt

3 eggs

1 1/2 cup (375 ml) of hot milk

6 tbsp. (90 ml) of butter, melted

1 tsp. (5 ml) of vanilla extract

1 tbsp. (15 ml) of roasted camelina seeds Signé caméline

Préparation
  1. Preheat the waffle maker.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the flour, 2 tablespoons of sugar, camelina seeds, baking powder and salt. Mix well.
  3. Separate the yolks from the egg whites.
  4. Beat the egg whites with a tablespoon of sugar until stiff peaks form. Reserve.
  5. In another bowl, combine the hot milk, melted butter, egg yolks and vanilla extract. Mix well the moist ingredients with the dry ones until blended.
  6. With a spatula, fold the egg whites until a uniform mixture is obtained.
  7. Spread the mixture in the preheated waffle maker and bake the waffles until golden brown and crisp.
  8. You can double the recipe and freeze the excess. The toaster is a great way to reheat the waffles for serving.
